Behind the walls is a thoroughly renewed home: completely new electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, new windows throughout, and an extensively rebuilt first floor designed for contemporary comfort and longevity.

A comprehensive Lutron and Ketra system brings intuitive control to lighting and automated blinds throughout the home. Individual rooms—or the entire residence—can be tuned for colour temperature, atmosphere and time of day through tailored scenes, schedules, the Lutron app or Apple Home.

Craftsmanship is expressed through extensive custom millwork, from the kitchen’s concealed appliance storage and the office’s Huppe organization to the bespoke vanity cabinetry upstairs. Singular details give the home its character: a fireplace mantle made from a tree that fell on the golf course, ornamental supports from the Winnipeg Law Courts, and a new staircase finished with ironwork by Steinman Ornamental.

Heated floors bring understated comfort to the bathrooms and front entry. In the primary ensuite, custom tile surrounds a Kohler Anthem multi-zone shower with independent controls, body jets and a heated bench; the second bathroom preserves exposed brick from the original fireplace as a warm architectural counterpoint.
